This is a beautiful home designed by Blackstar Construction.

The fine craftsmanship is shown in the beautiful details.  

Excellent stone work.

This kitchen has great cabinetry.  I love the way the formica countertops turned out, the metal trim edging is perfect, and the glass back splash really keeps it updated.  The fir flooring keeps the entire feel very comfortable.  (And a viking range always looks nice.)

I love the dark trim with the light painting.  I think the molding adds a very nice touch.

I am always a huge fan of a well designed tile shower. I think that it is a classic feature... I wish I saw more of them.

This bathroom is amazing.  The combination of the tile with black edging, the diamond motif and the brilliant green work flawlessly together.

In the Beginning...

I have always had a great passion for home and landscape design. In the beginning, I did not know that this was somewhat unique. I assumed that most second graders watched in eager anticipation the renovation of the home near the canal; or that many ten year-olds filled their notebooks full of house plan sketches; and certainly almost all little girls would spend hours of their summer vacation at the construction sites of any new homes in the area. 

Right? (If you did too, this is a good blog site for you.) I hope that by compiling some of my design thoughts onto one blog I will somehow deepen this passion. And perhaps now, I will not stay up until two in the morning redesigning a home I passed by during the day...
